Some Activists Are Not Happy With Amazon
It’s hard to imagine why anybody would be upset with Amazon as the stock si up 29% this year and has been hitting a new record over and over.
Apparently activists are not so pleased with the company though and have decided to protest at the company’s shareholders meeting on Tuesday. What better place to get your message across to the company than at a meeting where management and shareholders will be.
Protestors were outside the Seattle meeting and were holding signs that said “stop supporting hate.” Amazon has advertisements on right-wing website Breitbart and these activists are not happy about it.
Some activists are pushing Amazon to help pilots get more pay who fly for airlines that have contracts with Prime Air. Others are urging Amazon to use less robots and rely more on humans.
Many of these issues are valid and it will be interesting to see how Amazon responds, if they do at all.
