College is very stressful, but once it is over, graduates face a new stress. The stress that involves trying to find a job as fast as possible so that student loans can start getting paid.

Student loan debt is out of control in the U.S but thankfully because of one billionaire, one graduating class won’t have to worry about it.

Billionaire Robert F. Smith was the chosen speaker to give the commencement address at Atlanta’s Morehouse College’s Class of 2019.

He may go down as the best commencement address giver in history as he announced to the class that he would be paying off their student loans.

Nearly 400 young men at Morehouse College are the recipients of Smith’s grand gesture.

The gift could cost Smith $10 million to $40 million, according to estimations by Mark Kantrowitz, who is an expert on student debt.

“Forgiving their student loans will free Morehouse College graduates to pursue their goals,” Kantrowitz said.

“Instead of devoting thousands of dollars a month to student loan payments or being in an income-driven repayment plan for decades, they will now be able to invest in themselves,” Kantrowitz added.

Smith has undoubtedly given these 400 men the chance of a lifetime.
