Elon Musk Tells Employees They need to Go ‘All Out’
According to a report by Electreck, Tesla’s chief executive Elon Musk has sent a cryptic email to his employees, telling them that they need to “go all out” for the end of the quarter in order to have a “good outcome.”
It was on Monday of this week that Musk sent the short e-mail to Tesla employees that read:
For many reasons, a great deal of Tesla execution worldwide is packed into the final week of the quarter. It is very important that we go all out through end of June 30 to ensure a good outcome. Wouldn’t bring this up if not very important.
Thanks Elon
Considering that the coronavirus pandemic prompted Tesla to shut down much of its operatins for over a month, it may be understandable why Musk wants employees to work extra hard to make the second quarter count. The company’s second quarter ends on June 30th.
This is not the first time Musk has made such requests from his employees but it is the first time he has added, “Wouldn’t bring this up if not very important.” Previously the CEO had talked about achieving new delivery records and profitability.
The e-mail sent this week is a little cryptic as Musk does not state the purpose of why he needs employees to overcompensate right now. Perhaps he is hopeful that the company can still deliver a profit for the quarter despite the shutdown.
Musk had been very vocal about his discord with having to have his Fremont factory shut down and even threatened to relocate out of state at one point if he wasn’t allowed to open back up.
