Prince Harry and Meghan to Attend last Meeting of the Royal Family Before Their Exit
The Royal family of Britain is set to hold a family meeting of senior royals on Monday, reportedly Prince Harry and wife Meghan will attend the meeting in what will be their last royal meeting before they ultimately quit their royal duties and give a try to other career paths.
The annual event known as The Commonwealth Service will be held at London’s Westminster Abbey. The event will be bringing together Queen Elizabeth, Price William and His Wife Cate, Prince Harry and Meghan and their farther Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
This will be the first time the royal family will be having a meeting since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan) dropped their royal duties and announced they will no longer be working for the Queen back in January.
Curiosity is already floating in the air as many are eager to see how the meeting will play out among the senior members of the royal family.
“It will be fascinating to see how it plays out. I imagine everybody will be on absolutely best behavior. But goodness knows what they will all be thinking privately,” said Penny Junor, a royal biographer.
According to the January agreement, Price Harry and Meghan would drop their royal titles the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they would be stripped off security personnel and military titles. In addition they ceased to receive public funds for royal duties with immediate effect.
Harry and Meghan are hoping to forge their new future in North America, since their exit from royal duties the couple has been living Canada with their son Archie. The couple has since jetted to Britain for the royal meeting, however their son was left behind in Canada.
According to Junor, Prince Harry’s mother the late Princess Diana, is among the most popular member of the royal family in the country. She remains firmly opinioned that Prince Harry’s exit will be a major blow to the royal family.
“I thought that he had absolutely embraced his destiny as a member of the royal family. He recognized what he could do with his position, the power he had to change things for good. I think he will miss that ability to make people’s lives better,” said Junor.
Junor believes the path ahead of Price Harry is very tough one which might end up in regrets and misfortunes for the Prince.
“He is giving up everything he’s known, a huge family that he’s very close to and his work to go and live in Canada where he actually knows nobody and he has no job. I could imagine Harry coming back. I hope that they will not wake up one day and think what on earth have we done and what does life hold for us? We’re sitting in paradise but what else do we have in life? I hope that doesn’t happen to them,” she added.
