Starbucks Red Cups Are Running Out Fast

Many Starbucks fans have been disappointed to find out that the company’s new reusable red cup has gone fast.

Starbucks patrons took to social media, particularly Twitter, to share their complaints on having trouble finding the cup at their local stores.

“We are seeing an enthusiastic response to the return of Holiday beverages and cups at Starbucks as well as today’s limited-edition giveaway of our reusable red holiday cup, which is available while supplies last,” Starbucks said to CNBC.

“Each store has a limited supply, and we’re aware that some stores are already running out.”

The company’s holiday beverages and cups with a reusable red cap were launched this Friday and for one day only the company was giving the cup away to customers who ordered a holiday beverage. After the one day promotion, the cup was going to be available for $2 a day after.

Starbucks has said that for the holiday season, any customer who uses the cup will get 50 cents off their drink order if they order after 2 p.m.

One Twitter user, @concisecactus wrote on Twitter, “@Starbucks After three stops this morning, I managed to secure one of the elusive red holiday cups. Unfortunately the store was out of lids. How can I get lid for my cup?”
