Elon Musk Apologizes for Calling This Guy a Pedo

It was not too long ago that Elon Musk volunteered his services to help save the trapped Thai soccer team in a cave.

His engineers had decided to repurpose a liquid oxygen transfer tube from one of SpaceX’s rockets as a child-sized submarine, eventually simulating a cave rescue with divers in a pool in Los Angeles. The sub was named Wild Boar, after the soccer team, by Musk.

Vernon Unsworth, a British caver, had insulted Musk’s attempt to help the soccer team and said that his “mid-size submarine” was a PR stunt. He had told CNN that the miniature escape pod “had absolutely no chance of working.”

Musk defended his submarine in some very angry tweets and in the process called Unsworth “pedo guy.”

Vera Unsworth, the 88-year old mother of a Vernon was very upset about Musk’s tweets.

She remarked, “If I had my way I’d put him against a wall and shoot him, it’s disgusting coming from a millionaire as well. He probably thinks money doesn’t hurt him and he can get away with anything.”

Vernon is considering taking legal action against Musk.

The July 15th tweet from Musk read, “You know what, don’t bother showing the video. We will make one of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo. Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it.” The tweet had been deleted later.

Gene Munster, an analyst and the managing partner at Loup Ventures, wrote an open letter to Musk and stated, “Your behavior is fueling an unhelpful perception of your leadership -— thin-skinned and short-tempered.”

Musk apologized on Twitter and wrote, “As this well-written article suggests, my words were spoken in anger after Mr. Unsworth said several untruths & suggested I engage in a sexual act with the mini-sub, which had been built as an act of kindness & according to specifications from the dive team leader.”

In another tweet he wrote, “Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologize to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone.”
