This is Who Uber Picked as its New CEO to Help it Go Public
According to a Bloomberg report on Wednesday, ride hailing company Uber has picked the top candidate to be the CFO to lead preparations for its IPO next year.
Uber has chosen VMware Inc’s Zane Rowe as the top candidate for the position. Rowe is currently thr CFO at
VMware and is also on the board of directors for Pivotal Software, which is majority-owned by Dell. In the past Rowe led North American sales at Apple Inc.
According to people familiar with the matter, and reported by Bloomberg, there has been no agreement yet and the talks could still fall through.
Uber has had the position of CFO empty since 2015 and has been searching for someone to take the position to lead the company into becoming public in 2019.
