Austin Power’s Mini Me Has Been In The Hospital For Nearly Two Weeks
Many recognize Verne Troyer as the actor who portrayed Mini Me in the Austin Powers films.
The 48 year old actor is also an alcoholic and according to TMZ has now has been hospitalized for almost two weeks for alcohol addiction.
The Austin Powers actor told TMZ himself in a post published on Thursday, April 6.
‘I’ve been hearing from some concerned fans, so I’d like to address a very personal situation,’ he wrote on Instagram on Thursday.
‘As you know, I’ve battled alcohol addiction in the past and while it’s not always been an easy fight, I’m willing to continue my fight day by day.’
Verne continued: ‘I’ve been receiving treatment for the last week and I am voluntarily checking into a treatment centre later this week to continue to get the help that I need.
‘I want to thank everyone that’s reached out with their messages of support, it truly means the world to me.
‘With your support, I got this.’
According to TMZ, Troyer has been in a San Fernando Valley hospital for nearly two weeks.
Troyer said he would be checking into a rehab facility for help once he’s released from the hospital.
This is not the first time Troyer has been in rehab. he has been in and out of rehab for years and almost died from alcohol poisoning in 2002.
Troyer will appear next in upcoming film The 420 Movie: Mary & Jane.
