You Won’t Believe Where Tom Brady’s Stolen Super Bowl Jersey Was Found

Super Bowl LI was one of the most exciting games ever. Many were baffled on how the Patriots could win the game back against the Atlanta Falcons who had a 25 point third-quarter lead. Another thing that left people baffled was how Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s jersey mysteriously disappeared from the locker room.

The question of where Tom Brady’s jersey disappeared to has finally been answered.

The NFL released a statement on Monday shortly after 9 a.m. ET, saying, “Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots’ security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl LI jersey won last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered. Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015.”

The NFL went on to state, “The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media.”

Wow, so another one of Brady’s jerseys from another Super Bowl game was also stolen.

It’s apparent that being a star MVP quarterback means that his jersey could fetch some really good money. Houston law enforcement even treated the theft as a felony given the potential half-million-dollar value of the jersey.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer was one of the first to report that the jersey had been found and because it had crossed international borders is why the FBI became involved.

The FBI’s investigation is still ongoing. Houston police indicated that the media member was from Mexico. I guess now the mystery is who this person is.

Chief Art Acevedo tweeted, “Proud @houstonpolice Major Offenders Divison traced Brady Jersey to Mexico & it has been recovered with help of FBI & Mexican authorities.
