Singer Meat Loaf Collapsed On Stage

Rocker Meat Loaf collapsed on stage this week during a performance in Edmonton, Alberta.

The singer, who has also appeared in movies that include The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Fight Club, was performing “I Would Do Anything For Love” from the 1993 album as an encore when he suddenly collapsed.

Police in Edmonton confirmed early Friday morning that they responded to a medical call at Northern Jubilee Auditorium.
The auditorium was evacuated, as fire trucks and ambulances arrived.

“He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — he’s responsive and recovering well,” the singer’s representative Jeremy Westby said in a statement.

“He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.”
