Shannen Doherty Begins Radiation For Breast Cancer

Shannen Doherty has been very public about her battle with breast cancer and shared photos of her newest step in her journey to beat the deadly disease.

On Monday, the 45-year old actress began her first day of radiation and posted the treatment process on Instagram for her fans.

“First day of radiation treatment. I look like I’m about to make a run for it which is accurate. Radiation is frightening to me. Something about not being able to see the laser, see the treatment and having this machine moving around you just scares me,” commented Doherty in a photo of herself sitting in the doctor’s office in a hospital gown.

It was in August 2015 that Doherty first talked about her battle with cancer to PEOPLE.

She has spent the last year and a half sharing her journey, including shaving her head, and videos of her cancer treatment.
