Brock Turner has undeniably become one of the biggest faces in the news this year after getting a slap on the wrist for raping a girl. The Stanford student’s light sentence of six months in prison ended up being only half that amount. He was released on Friday, September 2nd, and waiting outside his Ohio home were armed demonstrators waiting.
One sign held by a demonstrator read, “Castrate rapists” while another sign read “If I rape Brock will I only do 3 months?”
Turner’s crime could have resulted in a maximum sentence of 14 years behind bars, but Judge Aaron Persky gave the young man only six months. His sentence has had major backlash across the world for apparent reasons.
