For those of you who miss Oprah Winfrey on your TV screens, have no fear, she has a new gig lined up with CBS.
The former TV host will be joining CBS’ 60 Minutes as a special contributor. She won’t appear on every Sunday episode of the program, but she will occasionally contribute to the show.
“I’ve been a big admirer of 60 Minutes since my days as a young reporter. I’m so excited and proud to join forces with this historic news program, which for me represents the bastion of journalistic storytelling,” Winfrey said in a statement.
“At a time when people are so divided, my intention is to bring relevant insight and perspective, to look at what separates us, and help facilitate real conversations between people from different backgrounds.”
60 Minutes gets around 10 million viewers a week.
