James Woods Receives Major Backlash Over this Comment About a Young Boy

James Woods, 70, didn’t get a positive reaction from people when he decided to pick on a little boy and his family on Twitter.

The Once Upon a Time in America actor posted a picture onto his Twitter feed of a couple and their son at the Orange County Pride Parade in California holding signs that read, “I love my gender creative son!” and “My son wears dresses & makeup… Get over it!!”

Rather than praise the couple for being open minded and loving towards their child, Woods tweeted, “This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”

While many may share the same sentiments as Woods, a lot of other people disagree, including Neil Patrick Harris.
Harris wrote back, “Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”

Lori Duron, the young boy’s mother blogged about taking her son to his first Pride parade in a post titled, “My Gender Creative Son’s First Pride.”

“My sweet, fabulous, rainbow boy has never received so many compliments,” Duron wrote. “He’s used to getting stares and whispers when we’re out in public. He’s not used to getting the smiles, hugs and encouragement he received at Pride.”
