Country Singer’s Son Missing After Boating Accident

Country singer Craig Morgan and his family are still feeling the tragic accident that happened over the weekend. The singer’s 19 year ol son is missing after a boating accident on the Kentucky Lake.

Jerry Greer, who just recently graduated high school, was reportedly tubing with a friend when they collided and capsized. Although he was wearing a life jacket, he did resurface and has not been seen since.

On Monday, the Morgans released a statement through their publicist:

“Recent Dickson County High School graduate Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer, went missing yesterday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee. Recovery efforts to locate him are underway. The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and request privacy during this difficult time.”

A Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency investigator has said that the search area is between 5 to 10 acres and as many as 50 boats could be deployed.

In addition to Jerry, Morgan has three other children with his wife Karen. he has had 17 songs on the billboard charts since releasing his first country album in 2000.
