Target Will Change Shopping This Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Posted on

Thanksgiving is practically around the corner and many are waiting for the Black Friday deals the day after.

Target has decided to give their shoppers a break this Holiday season. The company will be opening at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and closing at midnight local time. The stores will then re-open six hours later for Black Friday at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 10 p.m., 11 p.m. or midnight local time.

Last year Target had kept the store open all night and into Black Friday. The retailer will also be offering Black Friday deals on its website the morning of Thanksgiving. The company is also offering customers a coupon for 20% off future shopping if they spend $50 the day after Thanksgiving.

Stores are already gearing up for the big Black Friday and Thanksgiving event. Kohl’s as well as J.C. Penney are both opening their stores this year one hour earlier on Thanksgiving. Toys R Us will be opening at 5 p.m. and staying open a straight 30 hours.
