Jeff Bezos is Now the Richest Person in Modern History

It was a great day for Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos on Monday as his net worth broke $150 billion according to theBloomberg Billionaires Index.

Bill Gates, the world’s second richest person right now, has a network around $55 billion lower now.

“It’s hard to even put it in perspective,” remarked Michael Cole, the CEO of Cresset Family Office.

“It’s such a staggering number.”

Bezos’ fortune, even adjusted for inflation, makes it the most for any person in modern history.

Amazon has seen a gain of over 55% this year, which has added over $50 billion to Bezos’ net worth just this year alone.

Amazon’s 36 hours of Prime Day sales started on Monday.
