Despite shares of Herbalife closing modestly in the green on Thursday, the company posted a loss in its fourth quarter report.

Herbalife reported a loss of $63.4 million after posting a profit in the year ago quarter.

The loss of 87 cents per share became $1.29 per share after being adjusted for non-recurring costs. Revenue for the period was $1.09 billion.

Gary Milne, a contributor to Seeking Alpha, remarked, “The performance in North America is not the only factor that will affect how the market reacts after earnings, but it is probably the most anticipated one.”

Well it doesn’t look like the market reacted with much concern. Shares closed in the green up 0.23%.
Since the year began, shares of Herbalife have increased over 20%.
