Disney (DIS) Could Be Looking To Buy Netflix (NFLX)

Rumors have been circulating that the Disney may be looking to buy Netflix.

According to TechCrunch, Disney is interested in the most successful streaming services worldwide, because its current ESPN subscriber numbers are declining and more people are cutting subscriptions for VOD streaming and other online subscription services.

Recently the streaming giant reported that it had passed $2 billion in quarterly sales in the month of October.

With 3.57 million subscribers worldwide (which beat its 2.3 million forecast), it’s no surprise that Netflix would be looked at as an acquisition target.

If Disney were to buy the company, it would give them a huge footing in the over-the-top content market.
