These Companies Are Bidding Billions For Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO)

Posted on

Yahoo (YHOO)’s core business is getting a lot of attention recently. Numerous bids at or above $5 billion have poured in for parts of intellectual property and real estate that the company owns.

Verizon Communications holds one of the lower bids at $3.5 billion. Even AT&T is interested as Yahoo is apparently selling off a portfolio of 3,000 patents worth more than $1 billion.

Yahoo’s board of directors is planning on meeting this Friday to review the second round of bids for its core business.

The company has been trying to separate its stake in Asian assets like Yahoo Japan and Alibaba (BABA) amid pressure from activist investors.
