Apple to Unveil an Upgraded Apple TV With This Feature Next Month

Tech giant Apple has some new plans for living rooms. According to people familiar with the matter, the tech giant is planning to upgrade Apple TV so that it can stream 4K video and highlight live television content. This includes news and sports.

The big unveil is set to take place next month when the company reveals its new iPhone and Apple Watch.

The people familiar with the information have asked to not be identified as the plans are not yet public. According to them, the upgraded TV will be able to stream the higher resolution 4K content which allows for twice the resolution of 1080P high-definition video.

Hopefully this will help the company’s TV sales in the future considering that Apple Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri had told Bloomberg News earlier this year that Apple TV sales had declined year-over-year in the 2016 holiday quarter.

It was back in February that a Bloomberg news report revealed that the company’s 4K Apple TV model had gone into testing.
