Amazon Collaborates with Xealth on a Pilot

Posted on

According to two people familiar with the situation, retail powerhouse Amazon, is in discussions with start-up Xealth on planning a pilot where doctors can “prescribe” products to be delivered after patients leave the hospital.

The pilot idea would allow the doctors to “prescribe” medical products before the patient is discharged.

Then Amazon would fulfill the products, or another e-commerce company, and Prime members would get discounts on them.

Next to Xealth, at least two hospital networks are involved regarding the pilot project.

The pilot is still under review and is expected to start in the next coming months.

The two people close to the matter said that Xealth is managing the effort.
