Popeyes Chicken Has Been Dipped in Champagne and Edible 24K Gold
Popeyes chicken is tastey enough as it is, but it got an extra kick of high society taste on Thursday.
Popeyes Louisian Kitchen has decided to dip its chicken in champagne and coat it with 24 karat edible gold flakes. This special limited time preparation of boneless chicken will only be available today at four select locations across the U.S.
The move is in celebration of the company’s 3,000th restaurant opening and will be served for $5. Dubbed 24-Karat Champagne Wings, they will be a part of Popeyes’ Boneless Wing Bash, which also includes six boneless wings, a choice of side dish and a biscuit.
They are being served at: 868 C E Grand Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey (the site of Popeyes’ 3,000th location which opened in August); 75 Lexington Avenue in New York City, New York; 621 Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana; and 1005 North Magnolia Boulevard in Anaheim, California.
