UPS Delivery Guy Sees “Contact 911” On A Package

A woman did the only thing she could think of when her husband had taken her hostage in their Missouri home. She wrote “Contact 911” on a package she gave to a UPS man who came to the door last Tuesday.

According to officials, a Missouri woman was being held captive by her husband in her Robertsville, Mo. home. He allegedly was beating and sexual assaulting her while their 3-year old son was locked in a room without food or water for over 12 hours.

The UPS driver immediately called 911 and the SWAT Team was then sent to the couple’s house after he saw her note.
According to court documents, the womans husband was holding a gun behind her, as she quickly scrawled the note at the door. James Tyler Jordan, the husband, was arrested and charged with domestic assault, sodomy without consent, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.

UPS released a statement thanking the driver for his assistance in the arrest.

“We are grateful this UPS driver with more than a decade of service followed protocol when he saw a customer in distress and contacted authorities after he saw her message to contact 9-1-1. Our drivers are very familiar with their routes, and are trained to be aware of their surroundings and respond to requests for assistance.”
