Toys R Us Stores Close for Good

It was a nostalgic and sad day for many people as Toys R Us shuttered its doors for good in the United States on Friday.

It was in March that the toy retailer had said it had plans to liquidate its operation after it filed for bankruptcy last September.

While many are sad that the store of their childhood will no longer exist, the closings also mean that around 30,000 workers are out of a job and without any severance pay.

Toys R Us former CEO, Gerald Storch, is reportedly trying to find a way to resurrect the business and even save the jobs of these employees according to The New York Post.

Some have even thought Amazon could be a good buyer to buy the struggling Toys R Us website but this could still just end up as a dream.
