TJ Maxx Is The Newest Store To Diss Ivanka Trump

Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Belk recently decided to not sell Ivanka Trump’s clothing line anymore, and other stores seem to be following in its footsteps.

TJ Maxx hasn’t exactly done away with the brand yet, but it looks like the store is backing away.

According to The New York Times, TJ Maxx sent a memo to its stores last week instructing employees to throw away any signs that advertise Ivanka Trumo’s brand.

The memo also told workers to mix Ivanka Trump items in with other merchandise in the stores, instead of displaying her brand separately.

The note reads: “Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from features and mix into the [normal clothing racks]. All Ivanka Trump signs should be discarded.”

“At this time, we continue to offer this line of merchandise,” Erica Tower, a spokeswoman for TJ Maxx owner TJX Companies, told Business Insider.

“From time to time, we communicate with our stores about how to handle merchandise. The communication we sent instructed stores to mix this line of merchandise into our racks, not to remove it from the sales floor.”
