This Grocery Store Could Soon Take Over America

Many have never even heard of this grocery store, yet it’s a regional grocery store that has been named the best in the U.S. and could soon overtake all other grocery stores.

The store is called Wegmans and according to reports from Democrat and Chronicle, the company announced this week that they are planning to make a greater push into North Carolina, including considering “multiple sites” in the Raleigh-Durham area.

According to Market Force Informationa’s annual survey of the industry, released back in April, Wegmans ranks as Americans’ favorite grocery chain. With a score of 76% satisfaction, Wegmans beat out No. 2 Publix and No. 3 Trader Joe’s.

So what makes this grocery store so special? The stores are larger than the average grocery store, and have a big variety as well as fresh products. The company reports that locations stock 50,000 to 70,000 products, in the largest stores, compared to the slightly more than 40,000 products that Food Marketing Institute reports the average supermarkets stocks.

Many locations even have cafes, pizzerias, sushi bars, and buffets with seating areas that can fit 100 to 300 people.
