Sniper In Dallas Shooting Wanted To Kill White People

Since when does killing solve anything? Since never but it doesn’t stop the world from carrying out horrific acts that leave innocent people dead.

A Dallas protest was the latest place for gunfire to breakout and one of the deadliest days for cops since 9/11. As demonstrators marched through the city against the shooting of black men by police, shots broke out at around 8:45pm on Thursday. Five Dallas police officers were killed and seven were wounded by snipers.

The incident happened just weeks after the deaths of Philando Castle and Alton Sterling, two black men killed by police. In a response through her lawyer, the mother of one of Alton Sterline’s five children said, “responding to violence with violence is not the answer”.

The suspect, named by US media was Micah Xavier Johnson and was 25 years old and had served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was also trained and served in the Army Reserve as a carpentry and masonry specialist, defense officials said.

According to Dallas police chief David Brown, he was upset about the recent police shootings of black people.

Johnson was killed when police used explosives placed by a robot to end a tense stand-off in a building where he was holed up. He had told a hostage negotiator that he wanted to kill white people, especially police officers.

He said he was not affiliated with any groups and that he was acting alone.

President Barack Obama called the shooting a “vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement,” while US Attorney General Loretta Lynch described it as “an unfathomable tragedy”.
