Many people are furious that President Trump may soon be withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, and it looks like Elon Musk may be one of them.
Twitter user @schneby asked Musk via Twitter, “What will you do if he makes the decision to leave?” In regards to Trump possibly announcing the country’s departure.
Musk simply wrote back, “Will have no choice but to depart councils in that case.”
Musk is presently on President Trump’s manufacturing jobs council and is also in his strategic and policy forum, as well as his infrastructure forum. He is one among many other CEOs who has urged Trump to stay in the agreement. Musk tweeted on Wednesday, “done all [he] can to advise directly to [Trump].”
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt as well as top Republican senator Mitch McConnell are urging Trump to withdraw.
We are all waiting to see what the President does. He tweeted earlier on Tuesday, “I will be announcing my decision on Paris Accord, Thursday at 3:00 P.M. The White House Rose Garden. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
