At Least Two Dead In Shooting At UCLA

While it’s great for the U.S. to be number one at many things, school shootings shouldn’t be one of them, even if it looks like it may have been suicide. America continued its lead on Wednesday when shots were fired at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Reports of a shooting happened shortly before 10 a.m. at Boelter Hall. Officers, armed in tactical gear, searched room-to-room inside the UCLA engineering complex after two men were found dead inside an office in the building suffering from gunshot wounds.

It remains unknown if the two men were employees, students or visitors.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said the shooting appeared to be a murder-suicide and a note was found, but would not elaborate if it was a suicide note.

“The campus is entirely contained,” he said. “We believe there are no suspects outstanding and no continuing threat to UCLA’s campus.”
